Our Program

The Program

Phase 1: Recruitment & Training

We recruit cohorts of teachers from Latin American countries and provide training prior to their placement.

Phase 2: Visa Process and Transition

A J-1 Visa is processed and teachers are supported through their travel and transition to the U.S. SpanTran is our recommended international transcript evaluation service. They have created a custom application for the International Teachers Project that will make sure you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate. You can access their application here: SpanTran Application - International Teacher Project

Phase 3: Continued Training and Placement

ITP provides a robust integration and training program to prepare teachers for life in the US and as an educator. Teachers are carefully matched with a host school through an in-depth interview and evaluation process.

Phase 4: Support and Evaluation

Once placed in a school, ITP continues to support success by helping teachers find safe, affordable housing, registering their children for school, finding doctors, connecting to a local bank, and other basic services as needed.
